The excuse for the price increasement being that those features you had to pay for in the past are now part of the base software, but guess what, they never offered a special price to those who already bought the extra features so you end up paying for them twice. If that's not enough, once you paid for everything to get things started, the company brings a new version of the software and the upgrade costs you two to three times as much money as you paid for the full software when you bought it the first time. This is the worst company I've ever seen, they start by selling you a very good looking and promising software then you see that basic features aren't included and they charge you as much money as the base program for those basic and necessary features. I am concerned that Reallusion's business practices are deceptive and potentially harmful to users who may inadvertently violate the license agreement. Furthermore, it is difficult to enforce these restrictions as there is no way for the company to track how the 3D models are used once they are exported, and metadata can be altered. I believe that this license agreement is misleading and does not fairly represent the capabilities of the software. Additionally, the agreement restricts the use of the characters or their morph assets to build up another character generation system in games or interactive services, which is why you would buy a character generator in the first place. While the software claims to allow for character generation, the license agreement prohibits users from transforming their 3D models into any other format, distributing them, or selling them in any third-party marketplaces or applications. As a user of Reallusion's software, I have found that the license agreement restricts the use of their 3D models in ways that are not clearly explained in their marketing materials. Specifically, I believe that the company's license agreement is deceptive and does not accurately represent the limitations of their software. I am writing to express my concerns about the business practices of Reallusion, a software company that specializes in character creation software.
